Over the few years of Mtn. Roots Revival, when we’ve shared a film of Mama or Granny…shared a memory or a rambling musing, many of y’all have written the sweetest comments, remembering your own country loved ones…time you spent with them…the old-ways things they did that you, too, loved so much.

When you get home today, write and tell us about them. We’d really love to include excerpts of some in the “Looking Back: Carrying On” book that’s been delayed…some will be very brief…some might be a paragraph or more. If you have a great recipe (or method) for something they baked or (even non-food items crafted by hand), you can send that later. 

For now, just write a casual note to us…like you would when you comment…write and tell us all about them. Don’t try to write all prim and proper 🙂 …just write like you’d talk on the phone…every word that comes to mind…just put it down and send it in, BUT DO IT TODAY PLEASE :)…just a few paragraphs…we always think we’ll have time later…we might not, so please just do it while it’s on your mind. 🙂

Don’t think of it as an assignment to be graded. When you write with abandon, that’s when your heart comes through…that’s when the joy in your memories can be felt by any who read your words. You can write it in a reply to this post (on our new website), or you can email it here: MountainRootsRevival.Handmade@gmail.com (don’t miss the “dot” before “handmade” when you write). In the subject heading of the email, if you email instead of comment, write: My Memory.

Permissions: We might include some or all of your memory in a post here, too. We’ll assume we have permission to do that (to include excerpts in a post on our website, on our Facebook page or in our books)…unless you tell us not to when you write. 🙂

The book is 8.5 x 11; 144 pages (96 color pages with many photographs and stories included). It SHIPS BY November 25, 2020 (barring virus related printing or shipping delays). Second printing books shipped in July of 2018. We do NOT expect to order additional books beyond the number pre-ordered before printing, due to printing costs…so, we do not expect to have extra books available for sale. When Will Funds be Drafted if You Order? Funds “WILL LIKELY BE” DRAFTED from your account within days…even though we will not be going to print until later this year. AGAIN, PLEASE NOTE: You are ordering (and paying NOW) as part of a “pre”-printing order…BEFORE  the books from the 3rd printing have been printed. However, your card WILL BE CHARGED “NOW” AT TIME OF ORDER & FUNDS WILL BE DRAFTED “NOW”. 

Do You Need a PayPal Account (to order with the PayPal button below)? No, you do not. 🙂 Just click on the button. When it takes you to PayPal’s payment site, scroll down below the “log in” section and click: “pay with debit or credit card”. This will allow you to checkout as a guest, without a PayPal account, if you choose.

Your Shipping Address: Be certain to list your US Postal Service “MAILING address” as your shipping address, even if it is a PO box. Price includes shipping anywhere in the continental United States. Contact us, directly, to discuss shipping outside the continental U.S. and do so before you order, as additional S/H will be required. Contact us via direct message from our Facebook page at Mtn. ~ Entering Your Address at Checkout: PayPal will first ask for your “billing address”. That address needs to match the billing address for the credit card you are using. If it doesn’t match, you likely will not be able to complete checkout. If your card billing address is also your USPS mailing address, then check the box, in that section, which tells us to ship to your billing address. If your card billing address is NOT also your USPS “mailing” address, be sure to “UNCHECK” that box. Then, it will ask you for you shipping address, too. That is where you will enter your USPS “mailing” address for us. 🙂

$285 plus $30 shipping (covers shipping anywhere in the continental United States) = $315 at checkout: You are ordering and paying, in full, BEFORE your bowl has been carved. Several months will pass before your bowl is shipped, depending upon the number of orders ahead of you, wood availability, etc. We cannot guarantee specific delivery dates. Please understand that our bowls are carved to order from a maple tree…no assembly line. Typically, once ordered and paid in full, most bowls are dried, carved, finished and shipped in about 4 months or so, but, as stated, that could vary with order volume, etc. IF A SPECIFIC DELIVERY WINDOW IS NEEDED, SPEAK WITH US BEFORE ORDERING. Each bowl is different in terms of wood markings, etc. All are octagon  in shape…dimensions are all very similar…not exact but almost identical.
